This giant side board is the Reaper's playground, and woe be the
adventurer who is forced to play with him!
Shadowland Rules - How to Play:
To use the Shadowland expansion set, shuffle the Gatekeeper card
into your Dragon War card deck and layout the game as usual. Place
the larger Shadowland game board to the side of the game. Next, shuffle
the four Fate Cards into the Fate Card deck. The Gatekeeper game card and
three Fate Cards send a character to the Shadowland (the one life Fate Card
is used to avoid the Shadowland and can be kept and used at anytime). When
a character is sent to the Shadowland they must place their character tile
on the start square of the Shadowland board, then they roll through the
whole Shadowland until they reach the finish square, while the other players
wait. If the player runs out of life while trying to get through the Shadowland
they must go to the start card in the Dragon War game and return to 20 life
points. However, if they survive the board they get 15 life, they take one
Fate Card from each opponent, all opponents lose 3 life, and the Shadowland
survivor then proceeds to the first square past the Gatekeeper card. A player
only has to go through the Shadowland card once per game.

Long Life Set Rules - How to Play:
The Long Life Set can be used several ways to enhance the Dragon War Card Game.
1.) It can be used in the Base Game to help you gain more than 25 lives. Just start
at 25 as usual, and if you're lucky enough to gain more than that, move your Life Counter
Tile over the Long Life Card.
2.) If you're playing with more than 40 cards (Base Game and Expansions) you can
start at 50 lives or whatever your group decides is a fair amount to make it through the game
you've laid out.
3.) It can help out the wussies who think the game is too tough. Have FUN!

Gypsy Caravan Rules - How to Play:
To use the Gypsy Caravan expansion set, shuffle the 4 game cards into your
Dragon War card deck and lay out the game as usual. Place the larger Gypsy
Caravan game board to the side of the game. The four game cards send a
character to the Gypsy Caravan. When a character is sent to the Gypsy Caravan
they must place their character tile on the start square of the Caravan board,
then they roll the dice as per the game cards instructions (ex. one roll or
two rolls, etc.). The player then writes down on a piece of paper the number
of the square(s) they have landed on, and can use that item once in the game,
at which time they cross it off their list. After rolling for their item(s)
the player then returns to the square that sent them on their shopping spree.

Zombie Graveyard Rules - How to Play:
Shuffle the game card into your Dragon War card deck, and layout
the game as usual. Place the five skull counters onto the Zombie Graveyard
card. When awakened the Zombies (Skull counters) are placed on the last
square of the last card of each row. Every time a player rolls for movement
the Zombies move backward, sweeping through the rows. The Zombie always
moves first, if he hits a player that player is minus 10 life and loses
all their Fate Cards. The Zombies continue to move until they reach the
opposite end of their respective rows then they go back to the graveyard
until they are awakened again. If only one or two zombies are awakened roll
the die, that number is the row it starts in.

Elemental Furies Rules - How to Play:
To use the Elemental Furies Expansion Set, shuffle the four game cards into
your Dragon War deck and layout the game as usual. Place the larger four
Elemental/Minion game boards to the side of the game, minion side up. When
any player lands on the first or third square of an Elemental game card
within the Dragon War game that player activates that Elemental's
game board. That player leads all other players through Round 1 of engagement.
(Note: the Air Minions only effect the player who activated them.) The next
time that elemental is activated, all players follow the instructions for
Round 2; the third time, Round 3. When Round 3 is completed that Elemental's
game board is taken out of play, along with its corresponding game card.
Special Features:
If you dare disturb the slumbering power of these elementals, first they
send their powerful minions. Those fortunate enough to survive them must then
face the full power of the Elemental's Fury unleashed! The gameplay is enhanced
by each Elemental's card attributes.

Its a race out of the Castle's dungeon, with the winner playing the
castle's monsters on player/s of choice. This is just a fun, fast-paced
side-board to add a different feel to the game...
Castle of Doom Rules - How to set-up:
Shuffle the 2 castle gate cards into the Dragon War game cards, and lay
out as usual. Next, place the oversize castle game board off to the side of
the game layout, squares facing up. Put Monster deck face down on spot
marked Monster Deck.
How to Play:
The Castle of Doom set is a race to escape it's dungeon. When a player
hits one of the castle gate cards, ALL players are teleported to the
start square of the castle board (players should mark the spot they are
teleported from with a penny, etc). Starting with the player who initiated
the castle journey, everyone rolls until someone rolls past the finish square.
In the castle, there are no battles if players land on the same square, and
no fate cards or abilities can be used in the castle. Along the way, if a
player hits a Monster Card square, a Monster Card is drawn and put down near
the castle card. The first player to get past the finish square gets 5 life
and can play any overturned Monster Cards on opponent of choice. Once the
monster cards are played, players return to their places on the regular game
cards and play resumes.

The Haunted House set is the only set where you can move forward and backwards
(within the house), and the cards are turned over as you make your way through the set. You must get a key to get out, or wander the halls....FOREVER!

All the elements of a classic haunted house: hidden passageways, locked rooms, and ghosts in the hall. What makes this set unique is that its the only set where you can move forward and backwards within the house, and the cards are turned over as you make your way through the set.
Escape From Haunted House Rules -
Setup:
At the begining of the game, put the front door card into the Dragon War deck.
Set aside the Back Door Card. Shuffle the rest of the Hounted House cards.
Lay the deck out as usual. When you come to the front door card, place the
other 7 Hounted House cards face down following the Front Door. Place the
Back Door at the end of all the Haunted House cards, face up. Lay out the
rest of the deck as usual. Many things are different in the Haunted House.
Read up and be prepared for some wild adventures.
Movement:
While in the Haunted House, all players may move in any direction possible;
forward, backward, up or down. Red brick walls can not be crossed. Players may
change direction ONLY when they reach an intersection or at the begining of their
roll. (In other words, you can't use a roll to move back and forth over the same
couple of squares.)
Darkness:
The first player to land on one of the cards inside the Haunted House does
not know what he or she is getting into. That player flips over the card only
when he or she proceeds onto it. Once turned face up, that card stays face up
for the rest of the game.
Keys:
Each player needs a key to exit the Haunted House. A player gets a key by
landing on a square that says KEY. Also, a key is needed to open the Locked Room.
If a player uses a key, that player loses that key. Players may have more
than 1 key. (You might want to have more than 1 key for added insurance.)
Special Features:
Many of the cards in the Haunted House move around, either by rotating 180
degrees or by switching order with other Haunted House cards. If a card gets
rotated 180 degrees, the bottom goes to the top and vice versa.

Artifacts Of Avalon Rules - How to Play:
Lay out the Dragon War game cards as usual. Place the artifact cards on the board randomly
so that each arrow points to a game square. Only one artifact can be on any one game card.
When a player lands on that square, he or she picks up the artifact card and places it
face up in that player's playing area. The card's ability goes into effect immediately
and lasts until the artifact is destroyed or until the game ends. If any player wins a
battle and rolls at least a 6 for the loser's loss of life, the winner may choose to
destroy one of the loser's artifacts intead of that player losing 6 life. Any artifact
that is destroyed is removed from the game. No player may have more than 3 artifacts in
his or her playing area at any time. If a player has 3 artifacts and lands on another one,
that player must take the new artifact and replace it with any other artifact that player
has.

you try to do, get a Dragon. Be careful what you wish for!
Dragon Allies Rules - How to Play:
Before the game, each player chooses a dragon and dragon counter tile they want to have as an ally.
These are kept in front of the player.
How to get a dragon ally: Dragons are notoriously independant and you must
prove yourself worthy of their help. You do this by passing the Alliance Tasks. Each
dragon has six tasks which you must complete before you can use them. When you complete one
task, you place your dragon counter on the #1 dragon square on your card. As you accomplish
the other tasks, you move the counter down until you reach #6.
Note: You must do all six different tasks, not six of the same task. However, you
don't have to do them in any certain order. If you do task #4 first, then you move your counter to the
first square of your dragon card. It doesn't matter what order as long as you do all six during the game.
You can use a pencil and paper and write the #s 1-6. As you complete each task, cross it's # off the list,
and advance your counter to the next square. Once you reach #6, your dragon is ready to ally itself with you.
Each dragon has a stipulation on when they can be called upon. If you meet the stipulation, you can call upon
your new ally in the game.
Let's take Battlescar for example. Once active (all six tasks completed),
every time you battle he can aid you. You simply roll the dice and see what aid he will give you for that
battle, etc..

Talons Rules - How to Use:
Talons are used in a variety of ways in the Dragon War universe:
1.) They are used as coins in the medieval game of chance the Dragons Horde.
The different colors are different denominations in that game.
2.) They are used as markers. If you are sent to an expansion sideboard, you can mark your spot on the Dragon War
game field so you know your position when you return.
3.) They act as counters, enabling you to keep track of lost turns or a Krazy Kreature characters attributes.
